Customers from an EU member state who have a valid VAT identification number do not have to pay 19% VAT for delivery from Germany to their country.

To which countries can I have my order delivered with a valid VAT identification number?

According to §14 UStG, an invoice must contain the issued VAT identification number, namely that of the invoice and delivery recipient, if different.

What do I do if your system does not accept my VAT number?

Accepted Answer

Please check that your VAT ID number has been entered correctly in terms of content and form, e.g. it must not contain any spaces, punctuation marks or special characters.
